<p>Skyworth Auto is a new energy vehicle brand under Jiangsu Kaiwo Automobile Co., Ltd. Established in April 2021, the brand is headquartered in Xuzhou with its production base in Nanjing. Its predecessor was Tianmei Auto, founded by Huang Hongsheng in 2019.</p><p><br></p><p>The brand adopts a shield-shaped "W" logo symbolizing quality and safety, and positions itself under the "New China Manufacturing" strategy. Its primary offerings include pure electric and plug-in hybrid models, such as the EV6 and HT-i series. The vehicles feature Active Sleep Promotion technology, a Super Air Purification System, and the SKYLINK intelligent connectivity system.</p><p><br></p><p>In 2020, Tianmei Auto launched its first strategic SUV model, the ET5, which went on sale. In April 2021, after Skyworth Group transferred the trademark rights to Kaiwo New Energy, Tianmei Auto was officially renamed Skyworth Auto. The brand subsequently launched its first model, the EV6, in the same year. In 2022, it introduced the HT-i hybrid model. In 2023, Skyworth Auto unveiled its global high-voltage ultra-fast charging technology and its first sedan, the SKYHOME, and also released the 2023 SKYWELL EU620 premium model, becoming the world's first automaker to mass-produce vehicles with integrated solar-storage-charging-operation capabilities. In 2024, it launched the EV6 II ultra-fast charging model and right-hand-drive versions, entering the Hong Kong market. In 2025, Skyworth Auto entered the Indonesian market.</p><p><br></p><p>In 2021, the brand received the Annual Golden Shield Award. <p>Yangzhou Asiastar Bus Co., Ltd. is a bus manufacturer based in Yangzhou, Jiangsu, China. Founded in 1998, it is a subsidiary of Jiangsu Yaxing. The company's brands include Yaxing, Yangtse, Eurise and AsiaStar. Yaxing buses are largely sold domestically in China, but also have a presence in a number of international markets. It is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.</p><p><br></p><p>History</p><p>Yangzhou Yaxing Motor Coach Co., Ltd., aka Asiastar, traces its origins to May 1949, when the Shanghai Military Control Commission assumed control of the former sapper squadron of the Kuomintang, renaming it the Automobile Maintenance Firm of Logistics Department of East China Air Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.[1] This was moved to Yangzhou in April 1958, where it was merged with the Yangzhou Automobile Maintenance Factory as the Yangzhou Automobile Maintenance and Manufacture Factory, which began producing automobiles (branded Yunhe) and tractors (branded Gongnong), alongside farm equipment.[1] After gaining experience, the factory began producing the JS130/JS140 heavy-duty trucks and JS340 dump trucks in the late 1960s, then began producing the JT661A bus chassis in 1979.[1]</p><p><br></p><p>The factory was renamed to the Jiangsu Yangzhou Automobile Maintenance and Manufacture Factory in 1981, and the first JT663 coach was built and delivered to the Eighth Team of Jiangsu Passenger Transportation Co., Ltd. in February 1981.[1] The JT663 was the first dedicated bus chassis built and the factory was renamed again to the Jiangsu Yangzhou Coach Manufacture Factory in 1985.[1] The company continued to develop buses, launching the JS6879 coach in 1989 in cooperation with the Xi'an Highway Institute, as the first domestic sleeper coach.[1] The factory was renamed again to the Jiangsu Yangzhou Coach Manufacture Main Factory in 1990.[1]</p><p><br></p><p>The JS6971 luxury inter-city tourism coach was launched in 1993, which marked the first use of a domestically-produced rear axle.[1] The Jiangsu Asiastar Bus (Group) Co., Ltd. was founded in August 1996, followed by the Yangzhou Asiastar Motor Coach Co., Ltd. in September 1998, with the approval of the provincial government; Yangzhou Asiastar was then listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in August 1999.[1]</p><p><br></p><p>Asiastar started several joint ventures with western companies, including Mercedes-Benz, to further develop domestic manufacturing and quality controls. In 2009, Weichai Group entered into a strategic framework cooperation agreement with Yangzhou Asiastar and the People's Republic of China and laid the cornerstone for a new Yangzhou factory in 2011.[1] In 2012, Yangzhou Asiastar formed a holding company named Fengtai Bus and Coach International (FTBCI, Xiamen Fengtai Automobile).[1] The company's second factory is located in the Xiamen Free Trade Zone, which specializes in electric buses.</p>
<p>Shaanxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd., trading as Shacman, is a Chinese bus and truck manufacturer with headquarters in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China.</p><p><br></p><p>Overview</p><p>Founded in 1968 currently located in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, it employs approximately 23,000 employees.[2] It manufactures medium-size and heavy-duty trucks (both branded as Shacman),[3] bus chassis and heavy-duty truck axles. It utilizes Magna Steyr and MAN SE technologies.[4] Its bus chassis are sold under the Eurostar Bus brand.[5] The company has its presence in 140 countries worldwide, with 40 corporate offices and 280 service stations.[6]</p><p><br></p><p>Mazouz Trade Group, a Setif based company and Shaanxi Automobile set up the first Shacman manufacturing plant in Algeria in 2018 which made them the first Chinese automobile manufacturer to do so. As the country already had 40,000 trucks exported into the nation before 2018 which made them the market leader with 80% market share. With serving the local economy, the company would also focus on neighboring countries like Tunisia and Mali.[7]</p><p><br></p><p>Shaanxi Automobile Group Co. Ltd entered into a joint venture with Rawal Industrial Equipment (Pvt) Ltd, Pakistan to manufacture trucks and prime movers locally in 2019.[8]</p><p><br></p><p>Shacman set up their first plant in Querétaro, Mexico in 2023 which will manufacture X3000, X5000 and L3000 powered by LNG and diesel engines. This plant was set up to eliminate logistics cost and capture North America market. The state of Querétaro provided the company facilities and security to operate.[9]</p><p><br></p><p>In 2023 Shaanxi developed their X6000 800 which is the most powerful tractor truck in the world powered by a 16.6 liter Weichai engine producing 800 hp and 3,750 nm torque beating Scania 770 and Volvo FH 750 available in 6x4 tractor unit configuration and currently being produced in China and Russia with future plans to start production in Argentina.[10]</p><p><br></p><p>In late 2024, Shacman heavy trucks started its production in Kyrgyzstan[11] the plant was set up in Bishkek capital Kyrgyzstan of months before the production start up.[12]</p><p><br></p><p>In early 2025, the Chinese government provided 90 H3000 6×4 trucks and tankers, and 45 H3000S 6×4 tractors to the Burkina Faso Armed Forces.[13]</p>
